The Building Owners and Managers Association of Metro Detroit was founded in 1908 as a professional trade association supporting members who own, manage, or provide goods/services to commercial real estate.  BOMA Metro Detroit gives back to the industry and the community through our mission to enhance the human, intellectual, and physical assets of the commercial real estate industry through advocacy, education, research, standards, and information.

As part of its growth in 2024, BOMA Metro Detroit established a Scholarship Program to provide financial assistance to individuals with educational aspirations.  In this inaugural year the Scholarship is funded through the generous contribution of members, forever to be known as Founding Sponsors.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
BOMA Metro Detroit is committed to award three $2000 scholarships in 2024.

ELIGIBILITY
Candidates for consideration must be related to, or already be a BOMA Metro Detroit member. Additionally, they must already have gained official demonstrable admission to an accredited education organization such as:

● Building Owners and Managers Institute, (BOMI)

● University

● Trade schools

The Scholarship Committee will make the final determination on applicant eligibility.

BESTOWING THE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
Scholarship recipients will be honored at the annual TOBY and Leadership Awards event each December.
