The Building Owners and Managers Association of Metro Detroit was founded in 1908 as a professional trade association supporting members who own, manage, or provide goods and services to commercial real estate. 
BOMA Metro Detroit has a long and strong history of giving back to the industry and helping the Metropolitan Detroit community. In 2024 the Association initiated a Scholarship program for the benefit of its members and member families.   

The Building Owners and Managers Foundation of Metro Detroit was founded in 2025 with a mission to enhance the human, intellectual, and physical assets of the commercial real estate industry through advocacy, education, research, standards, and information.  The Foundation is dedicated to continuing to provide financial assistance to individuals with educational aspirations through the Scholarship program which is funded through the generous contribution of members.


SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
BOMA Metro Detroit is committed to award three $2000.00 scholarships in 2025.


ELIGIBILITY
Candidates for consideration must be related to, or already be a BOMA Metro Detroit member. Additionally, they must already have gained official demonstrable admission to an accredited education organization such as:

● Building Owners and Managers Institute, (BOMI)

● University

● Trade schools

● Community College

The Scholarship Committee will make the final determination on applicant eligibility.


APPLICATIONS DUE:  OCTOBER 31, 2025


BESTOWING THE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
Scholarship recipients will be honored at the annual TOBY and Leadership Awards event each December.
